Thesis Work

My graduate work explored LGBTQ+ history, queer visual culture, collecting, and storytelling through design. Central to this work was my thesis book, CRUIS’N: Uncovering Gay Design History Through Collecting, which used artifacts from my personal collection to examine how graphic design has shaped—and reflected—gay identity, desire, and culture. Other projects combined collage, archival imagery, typography, and narrative to recover overlooked histories and create new connections between personal experience, cultural memory, and the visual record. This work became the foundation for my continuing research into queer design history and archival practice.
